It was an epic battle but our new Prime Minister was forced to concede defeat when he suffered a crushing blow.
Fortunately, model Kelly Brook was on hand to tend to Boris Johnson after his childish thumb war at a dinner party turned so vicious that BoJo dislocated it.
“It all started getting a bit rough,” remembers Kelly, who was called upon to intervene by Johnson’s ex-wife Marina.
“His wife came over to me and said: ‘Kelly! Kelly! They’re getting very rough with each other. They’re hurting Boris, can you go and do something?’

“So I was chosen to go and split up this little fracas.”
It’s lucky Kelly, 39, stepped in when she did, as Boris’ appendage was in need of medical attention.
“He lost so badly that he actually dislocated his thumb,” Kelly revealed on her Heart show yesterday.
Kelly, a friend of Boris since a joint bike campaign in 2010, attended the swanky dinner alongside an “irritated” Dame Shirley Bassey… who snapped when Boris broke into a rendition of her Bond hit Goldfinger and begged her to sing.
Kelly recalls that Dame Shirley shouted something akin to “I don’t sing on cue!”
Kelly is, as yet, unconfirmed to attend Boris’s Cabinet meetings in case they get out of hand.
