Keith Flint's Prodigy co-founder Liam Howlett arrives at funeral

Keith Flint’s bandmate Liam Howlett is among the many mourners at St Mary’s Church in Essex today.

The co-founder looked downcast as he walked in dressed in all-black with a white belt over his shoulder, paired with some dark shades.

He was joined by the other memers of The Prodigy while mourners including Keith’s wife Mayumi Kai and Liam Gallagher’s ex Nicole Appleton.

Keith and Liam started the band in 1990, and dominated the Electronic music industry for years to follow.

Although Liam started as the band’s frontman, the pair soon took on joint responsibility after Keith’s first vocal track, Firestarter.

Following the news of his death, the band released a statement sharing their heartbreak over the loss of their co-founder.

At the time, they wrote: “It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint.

“A true pioneer, innovator and legend.”

They added: “He will be forever missed.

“We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.”

The band were due to start their tour later this year, but cancelled after Keith’s death was confirmed.

Keith was found dead at his home in Dunmow, Essex, earlier this month, aged 49.

An Essex Police Spokesman confirmed at the time: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8:10am on Monday.

“We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
