Keanu Reeves may be ‘breathtaking’ to his adoring fans but he’s still not taking any chances in the midst of the #MeToo movement, as it’s come to light the Hollywood icon doesn’t touch women when taking photos.

The Matrix actor has been getting a lot of love recently after releasing the latest John Wick movie, Chapter 3 – Parabellum, and announcing his role in CD Projekt Red’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.

But while fans are racing to take selfies with the actor, Keanu is keeping a firm distance – to a certain extent at least.

Social media user Kemoy Lindsay appears to be the first fan to notice that Keanu refrains from touching women in photos, writing: ‘Lol Keanu ain’t taking no chances.’

Kemoy proved their point by attaching a montage of snaps, showing Keanu posing for photos with female fans but choosing not to wrap his hands around their waist, keeping them hovering firmly in the air.

Even the legend that is Dolly Parton got the safe treatment.

Praising Keanu for being considerate of womens’ personal space, Kemoy said: ‘It’s not about not taking chances. It’s about being considerate and respectful, qualities that Keanu carries in spades.’

Another Keanu fan agreed: ‘He’s respectful. This should be how it’s done unless ya know the woman doesn’t mind being touched. Keanu should inspire us all.’

Many fans are convinced that Keanu is trying to avoid getting dragged into the #MeToo movement, which has seen the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour with both men and women.

While it’s pretty obvious why fans love Keanu – erm, he’s a screen icon and an all-round fascinating character IRL – the actor himself is baffled by the amount of love he receives.

When told by People magazine that he’s been named the internet’s newest boyfriend, the 54-year-old actor said at the Toy Story 4 premiere this week: ‘I’ve been what? I didn’t know that… That’s wacky.

‘The positivity is great. It’s really special how [Always Be My Maybe and John Wick 3] have been embraced.’

Keep it classy, Keanu.
