Katya Jones: Strictly pro cuts up ex Neil Jones' top after making big year-long promise


Strictly Come Dancing pro Katya Jones has been keeping herself busy on social media this week during her time in isolation at home.

The 30-year-old Latin and ballroom dancer, who joined the cast of Strictly in 2016 with her then-husband Neil Jones, has been documenting her day on Instagram.

Following a live stream chat with fellow dancer Janette Manrara, over on her Instagram Stories, the TV star gave her 163,000 followers an update on her year-long fashion challenge.

Last year, the thrifty fashionista embarked on highlighting sustainable fashion.

Katya challenged herself to avoid buying any new clothes for a 12 month period while still dressing stylishly.

After speaking to her co-star, she went online to show off her home-made out – which used an item of clothing from her ex husband’s wardrobe.

Talking directly to camera, the Russian dancer said: “Since I dressed up, I want to show you my cute outfit.”

Panning the camera down her body to reveal the outfit, the professional dancer continued: “This is headband that I made from old tights.

Showing a slashed T-shirt dress, she added: “This is Neil’s old T-shirt which works as a dress.”

“…And look at my tights,” she signed off revealing a pair of fishnet stockings embellished with gems and flowers.

She captioned the footage: “Over 8 months of no new clothes, and still keeping it cute!”

Back in August last year, katya and 37-year-old Neil announced their separation on social media after six years of marriage.

Ten months before their separation, married Katya was photographed kissing her Strictly partner Seann Walsh following a night out.

The comedian, who was also in a long-term relationship at the time, recently opened up about the fallout of the kiss in a newspaper Interview.

He revealed he had suffered panic attacks in public following the incident.
