Katy Perry looks incredible as she shows slimmed down post-baby body

Katy Perry has shown off her incredible slimmed down post baby body as she returned to film American Idol.

And just six weeks after welcoming her newborn daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with fiancé Orlando, the 35-year-old singer has referenced her breast pumping with an inspired outfit.

Katy posted a photo on Instagram of cow print clobber and wrote that she was back with the talent show, but having to take breaks so that she could pump breast milk for her baby.

Fans were impressed with how Katy was looking as she showed off her figure before the cameras started rolling.

Wearing a Christian Siriano creation, the superstar was covered head to toe in a black and white cow print, complete with a huge hat and a flowing floor length cape behind.

In a jokey caption on the post, Katy wrote: “MUTHA MILKS is back to werk @americanidol and it’s ridiculously MOO-ving already!

“Not pictured: my pumping breaks (shout out to @csiriano for the incredible custom costume.”

In the comments, Katy was roundly applauded for her bold look and makeup artist Michael Anthony hit the right note, writing: “According to my COWculations this is a FULL CALF extra hot double foam SERVE.”

In September, Katy also opened up about returning to work while also juggling new mum duties.

In a series of tweets, the Smile songstress spoke of her experience of motherhood and how it was a ‘full time job’.

“Popular misconception: being a mom isn’t a full-time job,” Katy penned.

“Part 2: when a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it’s not like they been coming from months of ‘time off …’ she’s coming from a full time job … of being a mom, lol.”

She then added: “Part 3: call your mom and tell her you love and appreciate her and advocate for paid family leave!”

In a final tweet she added that she ‘loved her job’ as a mum.
