Katy Perry and Selena Gomez rumoured to sing on Taylor Swift’s album Lover

Taylor Swift is rumoured to have recorded a song with Selena Gomez and Katy Perry for her new album.

The popstar, 29, held a secret listening party for her fans in London three weeks before the seventh record – named Lover – is released on August 23.

The track list is said to be 18 songs long and reportedly features her close friend Gomez, 27, and former enemy Perry, 34.

It comes nearly two months after Perry and Swift revealed they had buried the hatchet following a long-running feud.

A Taylor Swift fan account on Twitter said: “According to a fan who was invited and attended to #LoverSecretSessions, there will be a Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Katy Perry collab. The song is all about women empowerment.”

Perry and Swift reportedly stopped being friends after a fall out over back up dancers in 2014.

During an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that year, Swift described her single Bad Blood, as about another female artist who tried to “sabotage an entire arena tour.”

She added: “She did something so horrible…She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it…”

After the interview was published, Perry posted a tweet referencing the protagonist in 2004 movie Mean Girls, saying: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.

But last year, Perry sent Swift an olive branch with a note which said “Hey old friend, I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the hurt feelings between us,” with the phrase “deeply sorry” appearing a couple lines below.

Two months ago, Perry then posted a plate of cookies iced with “Peace at last” on the plate, and tagged Taylor with the location as “Let’s Be Friends”.

Perry then starred Swift’s video for her second single from Lover, titled You Need to Calm Down.
