Katie Price’s son Harvey is suffering from ‘unknown bug’ in intensive care

Katie Price’s teenage son Harvey is suffering from an ‘unknown bug’ that has given him an extremely high temperature and chest pains.

The 18-year-old was rushed to hospital on Sunday night for urgent medical attention, with mum Katie confirming Harvey is in intensive care.

Katie thanked medical staff for their ‘quick response’ and making Harvey ‘stable’, with a rep for the star now revealing he is suffering from an ‘unknown bug’.

They explained: ‘This is most likely linked to the bug he had when he was rushed into hospital last week. It is not Covid-19, it is an unknown bug.

‘[Harvey] has had chest pains and a temperature. An extremely high temp. It was 42, you could cook an egg on him. It spiked quickly and he’s had major problems breathing.’

Katie’s rep revealed to MailOnline: ‘The next 48 hours are critical,’ adding that Harvey is now undergoing tests and being ‘watched around the clock’.

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Katie’s rep for comment.

The update comes after Katie’s ex-husband Peter Andre was seen ‘praying’ for Harvey on Instagram, following news he had been rushed to hospital.

Katie’s rep confirmed to Metro.co.uk on Monday morning that Harvey is in intensive care and it is unknown how long for.

‘At this point we do not know for how long. The doctors have managed overnight to have Harvey stabilised,’ they said.

‘Katie remains strong for Harvey and his siblings, we have everything crossed for Harvey’s safe recovery.’

Harvey was taken to hospital at the end of June for ‘urgent medical care’ after falling ill at his younger sister Princess’ 13th birthday party.

The teen, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, complained of ‘needle-like’ chest pains and was treated by doctors and discharged the same day.

Harvey is blind and autistic, with Prader-Willi syndrome also affecting his speech and movement.
