Kris Boyson threatened to break a police officer’s jaw after rowing with paparazzi, a court has heard.

The 31-year-old – who has split from Katie Price this week – has pleaded not guilty to using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence, in relation to an incident in October 2018.

And today, Medway Magistrates’ Court in Chatham heard that Boyson allegedly threatened PC Paul Blundell after accusing him of taking pictures of him.

Prosecutor Piers Restell told the court that at 7am on 11 October, ‘members of the paparazzi’ arrived at Boyson’s home in Gravesend, Kent to take pictures of Price. Katie, 41, had been arrested the previous day on suspicion of drink driving.

Mr Restell said that Boyson approached the two photographers and shouted at them to delete the photographs, saying: ‘Photographs were deleted. Memory cards were handed over to Mr Boyson so that he could delete the rest.’

However, Kris allegedly became ‘aggressive and did not believe that the memory cards contained all the photographs they had taken’, and one of the photographers called the police.

PC Blundell and a colleague attended the scene, having been called to the street on an unrelated matter, with Mr Resell explaining: ‘PC Blundell exited the police vehicle and looked at the mapping app on his mobile phone. At that point he heard a male later identified as Mr Boyson shout “grab that phone off him”.’

‘[He] saw Mr Boyson shouting at him for taking pictures.’

PC Blundell then pulled out his warrant card but claimed that Boyson threatened to hit him.

‘He pulled out his pepper spray,’ said Mr Restell.

‘Again he showed Mr Boyson his warrant card and Mr Boyson then proceeded to photograph his warrant card. He did this because he said that Pc Blundell was a “fake police officer”.’

PC Blundell showed Boyson his phone photo gallery to prove he wasn’t taking pictures, but Boyson then allegedly said: ‘I am going to break your jaw’ and stepped towards the officer.

More officers arrived and Boyson was arrested.

The personal trainer today arrived at court wearing tight white trousers, a navy blazer, waistcoat and tie, and brogues without socks.

The trial comes a day after Kris and Katie are believed to have split for good after a year and a half together.

Katie was declared bankrupt this week, while she was also ordered to pay £150,000 to ex-husband Alex Reid for allegedly sharing sex footage of the star with a TV audience.
