Katie Price has urged her former partner Dwight Yorke to meet with estranged son Harvey after he said he loved him in a video.
The 17-year-old was born in May 2002 shortly after Katie split from the footballer player, and now the former glamour model has pleaded with the star to make contact after she shared the heartbreaking post.
In the clip, Katie asked Harvey who he would like to send a message to on Instagram, to which he responded: ‘Daddy Dwight.’
‘I love you, daddy Dwight, you look beautiful,’ Harvey continued.
As she shared the video to her Instagram page, Katie wrote: ‘Anyone who knows @officialdwightyorke19 please get him to contact his son. Harvey doesn’t deserve this, he sees his other son Tiger so I don’t understand.
‘He does charity work for different kids charity yet doesn’t see or support his own son. I don’t get it! [sic]’
The 41-year-old later shared the same video to her Instagram story, adding: ‘@officialdwightyorke19 please see your son, get in contact, have a heart as Harvey doesn’t deserve the fact you see your other son and not him!
‘You’re always welcome and never too late! Why can’t Harvey meet his brother?’
Katie has claimed that Dwight has only met with Harvey a handful of times since he was born, despite her pleas for him to be a part of his life.
Back in October, the mum-of-five also spoke about the sportsman being absent from his son’s life on her YouTube channel, threatening to turn up on his doorstep.
‘What I would like to do is turn up to his dad’s place – Dwight Yorke’s – ring on the doorbell and be there with Harvey, for him to see Harvey,’ she said.
‘That’s what I would like to do and I will do that. I think Dwight should start entering Harvey’s life, it’s been years.’
Katie and Dwight had split by the time she gave birth to Harvey, her first child, and she has since criticised the former Manchester United player for his treatment of their son.
Dwight initially denied he was the father after Katie became pregnant, forcing her to undergo DNA tests to confirm he was.
In her book Reborn, which was published in 2016, Katie alleged that her ex was unwilling to accept her son’s disabilities.
Harvey was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder when he was born, and also has other health complications, including being blind due to Septo-optic dysplasia. He is also autistic, has an underactive thyroid and diabetes.
‘I’d explained Harvey’s condition to Dwight many times, but he refused to understand it and kept going on about him being fat,’ she wrote.
Harvey’s Prader-Willi Syndrome means he suffers from a chronic feeling of hunger, which means he is prone to putting on weight.
