Katie Price has signed up to Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in a bid to get into shape and face up to new challenges, new reports claim.

The controversial reality star has put herself into training mode in order to get put through her paces with Ant Middleton and the gruelling regime laid out for those taking part.

Previous trainees have been plunged into ice cold water, have to carry more than their body weight through rough terrain and have to live on a rationed diet in order to experience real SAS training.

The celebrity version is in a bid to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.

‘She’s not supposed to tell anyone but as ever Pricey finds it hard to keep her mouth shut,’ a source told The Sun Online.

‘She’s signed up to do the next series of Celebrity SAS on Channel 4 and she’s desperately trying to get fit for it.’

Mum-of-five Katie is definitely not afraid of a challenge, but may have to confront some of her demons as the show also deals with interrogation techniques and confrontations with the drill sergeants that have left previous competitors in tears.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Katie’s and Channel 4 reps for comment.

Ahead of her supposed appearance on the series, Katie posted a video on her YouTube channel declaring she was training for ‘a top secret project’.

‘Sometimes it’s good to take you out of your comfort zone, and this definitely is,’ she told the camera as she drove to the gym.

Admitting she couldn’t even do ‘one push up’ the star was seen being put through her paces.

While she’s preparing for the next project, Katie’s love life has also remained as busy as ever – getting back together with Kris Boyson after a fleeting romance with toyboy Charles Drury.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns in 2020 on Channel 4.
