Katie Price has made a ‘cruel’ remark about son Harvey’s weight in her new YouTube video.

The reality star’s teenage son has gained weight due to Prader-Willi Syndrome and as she made her way up the escalators with a camera crew in town, she admitted that she believed he would struggle to get around shops.

‘I’m not joking and I know this is really cruel saying this but I don’t think Harvey would fit up this lift. They should do it wider,’ she said.

Off-screen her friend said: ‘Really?’ to which Katie remarked: ‘He wouldn’t!’

Harvey, whose father is Dwight Yorke, is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome, which causes weight gain and slow development.

Earlier this year, Katie – who is also mum to Junior, 13, Princess, 11, Jett, 5, and Bunny, 4 – admitted that she had no respite from caring for her eldest son.

Speaking on Victoria Derbyshire, she explained: ‘He’s a danger to himself. For the first time ever, I’m thinking he might have to go [into] residential [care] Monday to Friday.

‘He knows if he kicks off in the morning, the driver won’t take him to school. So he’s sussed that and he’s missing out on his education.

‘He just wants to be with me all the time.’

In April, she confirmed he had moved into residential care (Picture: Wenn/BBC)

Katie added: ‘It’s so hard. I’ve never had respite, I haven’t got a carer with him, I do it all myself. But I’m really having to think about it.’

In April, she confirmed he had moved into residential care.

‘You know what, he is loving it,’ Katie enthused about Harvey to Metro.co.uk.

‘Being autistic, Harvey has to have a strict routine and I think being in residential throughout the week is helping that and he is much more grounded. Then he has his weekends with me and the kids. He loves it now. He FaceTimes me five times a day on his iPad.

‘He doesn’t stop, haha!’
