Katie Price 'hit by harsh reality she might be going to prison tomorrow' as sister Sophie weds

Katie Price attended her sisters wedding as a bridesmaid on Thursday afternoon, as the reality sets in that she may face jail time.

The mother of five walked down the aisle in a blue floor length gown, and was accompanied down the aisle by her son, Harvey, 20, who looked dapper in a white shirt and red tie. The former glamour model was also joined by Junior, 17, Princess, 14, Jett, eight, and seven year old Bunny.

One family member not in attendance was Katie’s on again off again fiancé Carl Woods, 32, who was not photographed at the event. Katie reportedly begged sister Sophie to let her beau attend her nuptials after his threatening behaviour charges were dropped.

However, despite the family all gathered to celebrate the big event, Katie reportedly can’t get her mind away from her sentencing. A source has told OK! that Katie has finally been hit by the harsh reality that she could be locked up in a matter of days.

“Katie is going to be sentenced on Friday. It hit her at Sophie’s wedding so it is bittersweet for Katie,” the source said. “We don’t know if Katie is going to be in prison this time next week. It’s a bit of a harsh reality hitting her.”

The source also revealed that Katie is desperate to walk down the aisle with Carl but that her family are against the marriage which is why they didn’t want him at Sophie’s wedding.

They continued: “She really wants to get married but her family are so against it. She probably went out of her way to catch the bridal bouquet – anything to give her some hope. Her family don’t want her rushing into something. They want her to listen and realise that they’re trying to tell her what is best for her.”

If Katie avoids jail on Friday, she and her beau Carl plan to jet off for some sun in Ibiza, which will be her sixth holiday this year. The source said: “Going away isn’t going to solve anything. “She’s running away from her problems. Her family are really worried.”

Katie will return to court for sentencing after pleading guilty in May to breaching a restraining order against her ex Kieran Hayler’s fiancée Michelle Penticost. The star could face a maximum sentence of five years in jail after admitting to the charge at Lewes Crown Court.

Judge Stephen Mooney told Katie: “Clearly you have accepted responsibility for an offence and pleaded guilty while you were on a suspended sentence which means you are at risk of going to prison. I will need to know the relevant parts of the background to consider what the appropriate sentence should be.

“Don’t be under any illusions, you run the risk of receiving an immediate custodial sentence.”

This isn’t Katie’s only legal worries as she is due to attend court next year over her £3.2million bankruptcy debts, after the case was delayed from early June. The mother-of-five was expected to have a difficult time in court after it was claimed that the liquidators handling paying creditors said she has not been “engaging fully” with the process.

The Sun has claimed that Katie’s hearing has been listed again for February 9, 2023. A source told the publication: “The delay will give the courts the chance to see how fully she is now working with the people she owes money to and provide a clearer picture of where she stands in repaying her debts.”

Katie was declared bankrupt in 2019 after she had spent years amassing a £45million fortune. She had agreed to pay £12,000 a month to her creditors through an individual voluntary arrangement but it has been alleged that Katie has failed to keep this agreement.
