Katie Price’s son Harvey is now fully vaccinated against coronavirus after receiving the second jab.

The 18-year-old is in the vulnerable category due to his series of complex conditions, including Prader-Willi syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, as well as autism and ADHD.

Harvey received the first dose of the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab in February and Katie has now confirmed the second jab, stating the teen is ‘absolutely fine’.

A source added to The Sun: ‘Katie’s very worried – she always fears the worst when it comes to Harvey’s health but is trying to remain calm.

‘Like any mum would be, she’s beside herself with worry. It’s dangerous as Harvey hasn’t got cortisol in his body to fight like us.’

Harvey was taken to hospital with a high temperature shortly after having the first vaccine administered.

It is extremely rare for people to get a severe reaction from the coronavirus vaccine, which has been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as both safe and effective.

Following his release from hospital, Katie, 42, explained: ‘Harvey’s obviously home and he’s safe and he’s on form today…

‘So because of Harvey’s needs and Harvey’s complex medication he’s on, he had his Covid [vaccine] the Oxford one and he just had his vaccination and his reaction was a really really high temperature, 39.9 and obviously with Harvey, I have to really keep an eye and I couldn’t get his temperature down.

‘So I phoned Great Ormond Street and they told me to go to the nearest A&E so that’s what we did. ‘Did all your bloods, X-rays, ECGs, everything, everything was fine they just said it was a reaction from [the] Covid [vaccine] but today, he’s actually on form.

‘The doctors and nurses were fantastic.’

Katie herself received her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine last week and shared a clip of the moment she had the jab.

The former glamour model seemed nervous as a staff member approached with the needle, with the injection taking just seconds.

‘Be brave,’ someone behind the scenes instructed, giving her a countdown before she grinned for the camera, donning a face shield.

She captioned the Instagram post: ‘Finally had my 1st Covid and I hate needles but it actually was over before I could start playing up.’
