KATIE Price has likened herself to the Queen – by branding 2020 her “annus horribilis”.
The 41-year-old has told pals she can’t wait to see the back of 2019 a year which saw her made bankrupt and has left her facing losing her Mucky Mansion.
She told friends last week: “It’s been crap. I have had nightmare after nightmare. I know how the Queen felt now.”
The comment is reference to Her Majesty’s infamous speech in 1992 which she dubbed her “annus horribilis” following Charles’ split with Princess Diana and the subsequent Panorama interview that followed.
Katie has also had the year from hell with men. She is trying to make things work with Kris Boyson who she infamously cheated on with toyboy builder Charles Drury.
Our source added: “Katie has had a really tough.
“She’s had all the problems with money; she’s been in court over her driving ban and she’s has all the drama with Charles.
“When she looks back on the year he’s the biggest regret. She rues ever going anywhere near the bloke and she is glad to have seen the back of him.
“Things are up in the air with Kris. But Katie isn’t losing any sleep over it. What will be will be.”
The Sun Online has contacted Katie’s representative for comment.
We revealed how mum of five Katie went on a spending spree ahead of Christmas.
She also treated her oldest child Harvey, 17, to see Father Christmas, after it was revealed the other four children will be spending Christmas day with their dads.
Katie is also mum to Junior, 14, and Princess, 12, by singer and ex-husband Peter Andre and Jett, 6, and Bunny, 5, by construction worker and ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
Junior and Princess mostly live with their dad, while Katie splits custody of Bunny and Jett with their dad – but this year they will spend the festive period with them as well.
Katie is planning to go to Thailand in the New Year with Harvey to get away from the stresses of the past year.
A source told The Sun Online: “Katie’s told friends she’s over the winter and needs some sun. She’s planning to head to Thailand with friends and Harvey – what has she got to stay here for?”
