KATIE Price is celebrating surviving her toughest year yet and promised fans she’s “back to herself” now.
The 40-year-old has had a difficult time after numerous court appearances, stints in rehab and a rocky romance with toyboy Kris Boyson but she’s now put that all behind her.
In a now-deleted post, she shared a quote by Demi Lovato about her mental health battle, which read: “I wish people could understand that the brain is the most important organ of our body.
“Just because you can’t see mental illness like you could see a broken bone, doesn’t mean it’s not as detrimental or devastating to a family or individual.”
Writing alongside it, the mum-of-five revealed: “Last year was toughest year with loads to deal with. I’ve ridden the storm and now back to calmness and myself again.”
She also posted a series of other quotes about learning to forgive her former best friend Jane Pountney after she cheated with her then husband Kieran Hayler in 2014.
In total she shared nine quotes, which have now been deleted, revealing she had sat down with Jane to discuss what happened, admitting she would try to learn to trust again.
Over the last year Katie has weathered numerous storms, including narrowly swerving bankruptcy.
She struck a deal with the taxman to repay an outstanding £22,000 via instalments to escape bankruptcy.
In 2018 she hit headlines after the collapse of her most recent marriage to Kieran Hayler.
On top of that she was dealing with the fact her mother, Amy Price, was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) – the same disease that killed TV presenter Keith Chegwin.
Last September she was caught on camera slumped on the floor of a Majorcan hotel room with two men, slurring her words as she gushed about her love of cocaine.
Two weeks later, she briefly checked into a rehab facility for post-traumatic stress disorder after years of drug binges. But the very next month she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
She returned to rehab for what was meant to be a 28-day residential stay. But she quit the centre just 24 hours later.
This week she was in court again and pleaded not guilty to screaming “Are you enjoying f***ing my husband?” at Kieran Hayler’s new lover.
