Kate Garraway: 'I'm not built like that' James Haskell spills on I’m A Celebrity clash

Kate Garraway, 52, came in fourth place on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! which Jacqueline Jossa ended up winning. During her time on the show, the Good Morning Britain presenter clashed with James Haskell.

One time, the two both differred in opinion on chivalry, as James had said women come before men.

Kate declared his statement as “chivalrous nonsense” to which he said: “Women go first, men after that.”

James was back on his podcast with Alex Maybe this week, where he spilled on their disagreement.

He said: “I would speak to Kate afterwards and have a chat like listen, here’s my reasoning…

“When we were arguing about women going first, she was like ‘I understand’ I said ‘Look imagine I was a selfish a******e and we took your bed, that’s not going to look good’.”

He continued: “‘You’re applying loads of pressure on us, on men to do things’.”

James explained: “We’re never going to let a woman, I was never going to not sleep on the floor and the women sleeps in the beds.

“I was never going to take food out of their mouths, however much I wanted to do it.”

Defending his actions, the star said: “I’m not built like that, it wasn’t how I was brought up, it’s important values.”

James said the two of them discussing the conversation on their own wasn’t shown on TV.

“But they didn’t capture us sitting down and explaining it, having a hug,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kate has only just returned to the United Kingdom with her family following her stint Down Under.

During her time in the jungle, the presenter revealed she lost one stone due to the limited food portions.

Chatting to The Mirror after her exit, she said: “I was a bit shocked when I got into the dressing room and looked in the mirror.

“I thought ‘Oh my god!’ Because you don’t see yourself. There is no mirror in the jungle.”

Kate continued: “They weigh you before you go in and they weigh you when you come out and I’ve lost a stone.
