Kate Beckinsale is the queen of laughing at herself, and we love her for it.

And the Underworld actress’ latest social media offering is absolutely no different.

Taking to Instagram, the 46-year-old shared a throwback of herself as a child, complete with pigtails, a floral blouse and pink jumper.

Reminding us all of those school portraits that are gathering dust in a drawer somewhere…

‘My teeth came in the size of an adult male beaver quite early on, so I was able to demolish this table and chair in no time and contribute to the building of a dam near Chiswick Bridge, which functions to this day. Aged 8 #tbt,’ she captioned the post for her 3.2million followers.

We are absolutely not worthy of Kate Beckinsale, and her followers definitely agree.

Sliding into the comments below her post, one wrote: ‘Might be the best person when it comes to Instagram captions. Also, RIP table and chair.’

‘You are literally so funny, you make my day with every post,’ a fan said. ‘I love you so much and I love that you have the best sense of humour no matter what.

‘I want to grow up to be just like you.’

While another urged: ‘Bring back this look immediately.’

We totally agree.

Kate might be a huge name in Hollywood, but the actress recently revealed there are some important things she misses from the UK when she’s living her best life across the pond.

And her unique sense of humour is definitely one of them.

In a chat with Associated Press, the Van Helsing star said: ‘I always say the same things, which is Marks & Spencer and black cabs and my mum, that’s a given.

‘But what I mostly miss is everyone has the same silly references that you have, and a certain sort of sense of humour, most particularly in men.

‘There’s a kind of machismo in America, I love that English men have a kind of self-deprecating humour about themselves, on the whole, and I think it’s really healthy and I miss that.’

Well, it’s a good thing Kate is flying the flag for self-deprecating humour abroad.
