Kate Beckinsale celebrated another trip around the sun by re-creating an iconic scene from the 1987 classic Dirty Dancing.

The actress celebrated her 47th birthday on Sunday by taking to Instagram and re-creating the famous Dirty Dancing lift.

The Underworld star wasn’t lifted in the air like Jennifer Grey’s Baby in the film… she lifted her beloved cat Clive in the parody video, set to the song Time Of Your Life.

The actress was seen in her kitchen, with several bouquets of flowers, presumably for her birthday, seen on the counters.

She was wearing a black tube top that exposed her toned midriff and black shorts as she began her dance to the iconic song by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

She started dancing while motioning for “someone” to come to her, before she reached out and lifted her beloved cat in the air before turning to smile at the camera.

‘I wouldn’t have thought it possible with everything going on but the love and friendship and kindness from so many people have given me the birthday of my life,’ Beckinsale said in her caption. 

‘I’ve cried so much ! THANK YOU I LOVE YOU,’ she added, along with a pair of twin heart emojis.

The actress was not seen with her boyfriend, 23-year-old  Canadian musician Goody Grace, who she has been dating for the past few months.

Earlier this month, Beckinsale clapped back at a fan, who asked on social media, ‘Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?’

Her boyfriend Grace is just two years older than her daughter, 21-year-old Lily, who she shares with Michael Sheen, who she was with between 1995 and 2003.

‘Every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you,’ the actress sarcastically told the fan.
