It’s been a year and a half since we first saw the devastating ending of Avengers: Infinuty War, and we’re still not over Spider-Man being turned to dust.

So thanks Karen Gillan for reopening those wounds.

The 31-year-old mocked Tom Holland’s ‘Mr Stark… I don’t feel so good’ moment in the blockbuster while trash talking Ryan Reynolds and we can’t lie, it’s cut us real deep.

Karen, who plays Nebula in the MCU, has joined AGBO’s superstar fantasy football league, which pits heroes from the MCU against each other in a trash talking contest for charity.

Sounds great.

The Scottish actress explained she was given Ryan Reynolds to battle, saying in a Twitter video: ‘He had some really nasty words for me. But do you know what? I think actions speak louder than words, Ryan.’

We actually couldn’t hear any of those words, because they were all bleeped out in Ryan’s video. Harsh.

Karen was then filmed storming to a shop, where she picked up a figurine of what we thought was Deadpool, and took a homemade flamethrower to it until it was a charred heap – with the actress saying: ‘Take that Reynolds.’

Spider-man death in Avengers

Unfortunately, she had actually set Spider-Man alight.

A voice off camera said: ‘You know he’s Deadpool, right?’, with a confused Karen saying: ‘He’s which one?’ before ‘F*** you Reynolds’ flashed up on screen.

But the last frame saw the blackened corpse of Spidey lying on the slate, with Karen saying in a baby voice: ‘I don’t wanna go, I don’t wanna go, sir, please.’

What did Tom ever do to you?!

Fans were equally amused and horrified by the stunt, with one person writing: ‘Holy f***, she went dark! My heart has been stolen!’ and another writing: ‘Poor Spidey. That kid had suffered enough.’

At least it’s all for charity, though – Karen is playing for Mikey’s Line, a Scottish organisation providing help for those struggling with their mental health.

Robert Downey Jr, Paul Rudd, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Michael B Jordan, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Miles Teller and director Joe Russo are all involved in the fantasy league, so we can expect a whole lot more trash talking for a good cause.
