Kanye West took his famous Sunday Service to Dayton, Ohio this weekend to honour those who were killed or injured in the mass shooting that took place in the city earlier in the month.

His wife Kim Kardashian was also in attendance with her and Kanye’s eldest two children, North and Saint, but there was no word on whether Chicago and Psalm made the trip.

The rapper was seen hanging out with his kids and his friends in the city before the service, sparking rumours at the time he would be performing.

Kim then posted a live stream link for people to watch the service, as she told her followers: ‘In support of the victims and survivors of the Dayton mass shooting’.

10 people were killed and 27 injured on 4 August as a gunman opened fire in the entrance of a bar, before he was shot dead by police just 32 seconds after his first shot was fired.

The attack occurred just 13 hours after another mass shooting in El Paso, Texas and was the third mass shooting in the same week in the USA.

Kanye hoped to bring some positivity to the affected community with his religious service, something which has been running since the start of 2019.

As well as religious songs, the service also features soul variations of Kanye and other artists’ songs and has become hugely popular.

Dave Chapelle also stopped by the service to thank Kanye for coming out for the city, with the comedian also there for an event later in the day, The Gem City Shine benefit concert in honour of the victims, with around 20,000 people expected to attend.

Kanye also led a choir to sing Happy Birthday to Dave for his 46th birthday on Saturday night, although he didn’t actually sing himself.

While the Sunday Service usually takes place in Los Angeles, close to where Kim and Kanye live, he has previously taken it to other locations including Coachella.
