Kim Kardashian among stars at the 2021 Met Gala
Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala outfits are always a talking point, but her 2021 number could well top the lot.
The 40-year-old reality star rocked up in an face-obscuring all-black outfit with a huge train. The design incorporated a bodysuit with a black curve T-shirt under a T-shirt dress. She also added jersey boots Pantaleggings.
The custom ensemble look was designed by Demna Gvasalia, the Balenciaga creative director and caused quite a stir among onlookers.
Once the business mogul was inside, she switched to a Batgirl-style outfit but still wore huge shade to complete the incognito look.
TMZ reports that estranged husband Kanye West was the driving force behind the look and that it’s he who “gave Kim the courage to push the envelope with creativity and people’s imagination through art.”
But her choice of attire has divided viewers, with some criticising the star.
One person who was on board with her look however was indeed her ex partner.

The rapper, 44, who often wears masks over his own face took to Instagram to share snaps of the mother of his children, despite not following her on the social media platform.
And among those offering their thoughts in the comments section of his post was reality TV personality Fonzworth Bentley, who wrote, “‘Look at what my kim did’ – @kanyewest.”
Many thought that Kanye was in attendance alongside the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, but it appears that wasn’t actually the case.
Kim was seen posing alongside a man in matching attire, leading to fans believing it was Ye, but the man was actually Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia.
The look worn by Kim has even been turned into many hilarious memes as Kim herself even explained she struggled to see out of the extravagant outfit.
Alongside a photo on her Instagram Story of her and Kendall Jenner at the event, Kim wrote: “Kendall was calling my name and I couldn’t see who it was but I saw the outline of her sparkly dress.” She also added a sobbing emoji.

Kendall wore a revealing Givenchy number which left little to the imagination.
The rhinestone embellished see-through gown made the 25-year-old one of the clear stars of the show as she dazzled underneath the flashing lights.
To add even more glamour to her look, Kendall donned a huge diamond collar, which perfectly complimented her sparkly outfit.
