The current coronavirus lockdown has had many people turning
to home improvements to kill the boredom, and it looks like Kanye West is one
of them.
The rapper, 42, is planning to upgrade several bits of the
Wyoming ranch he and Kim Kardashian bought last autumn, including installing a ‘urine
garden’ at the 4,000 acre property.
According to the WSJ magazine, Kanye’s plans include ecological
and waste-recycling systems, a vegetable garden, orchards, a pond and a bio
pool.
The urine garden will also be installed to convert human waste
into plant food as well as adding ‘a series of seven dome-shaped rooms to be
part of a closed-loop ecology for energy and water capture.’
Kanye has also previously mentioned he would be installing some
futuristic shower technology, including a ‘hydrogen pulse detonation pump’,
which sounds like a power shower and a half right there.
His plans also include a skate park at the rural abode, which is
probably a good thing as he recently revealed the couple’s kids like to ride
their scooters around their California home.
Kim and Kanye’s stark, white, minimalist main home was remodelled by Belgian architect Axel Vervoordt and was featured in Architectural Digest.
Kanye told the publication: ‘North was the inspiration for the
design. As many places as I could take the stairs out, I did.
‘The kids
ride their scooters down the hallways and jump around on top of the low Axel
tables, which they use as a kind of stage.
‘This house
may be a case study, but our vision for it was built around our family. Everything
we do is an art installation and a playroom.’
We wonder which member of the family was the inspiration behind the urine garden at the ranch?
