Kanye West fans were left feeling ‘clowned’ after being promised his Jesus Is King album would drop on 27 September, only for it never to arrive.

Fans were left disappointed after waiting all day to listen to the album, only to be told they had to wait before they could get their hands on it.

They took to Twitter to express their disappointment: ‘I’ve been waiting since 8:00 man Kanye can p**s u off sometimes #JesusIsKing’.

Another added: ‘kanye just please drop the album I’m not even christian and you got me waiting for an album about jesus #JesusIsKing’.

Kanye’s still been on the promo tour for his new gospel album, so fans are hopeful there won’t be more delays.

It wouldn’t be the first time we were promised a Kanye album for it never to arrive – case in point being 2018’s Yandhi.

Yandhi was supposed to drop in September but got pushed back for a November release, before being held indefinitely.

Kim Kardashian revealed the tracklisting for Jesus Is King, which Kanye had scrawled on a notepad from a Marriott hotel, and later reassured fans that the album would be coming on Sunday instead of Friday, revealing that the unexpected delay was due to the mixes still needing tweaks.

She posted: ‘Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday. He’s dropping the album Sunday.

‘Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.’

The album will feature songs called Up From The Ashes, Follow God, On God, Water, Sunday, LA Monster, New Body, Use This Gospel, Hands On and Selah.

Kanye is also going to be releasing an iMax film, called Jesus Is Lord, which is set to arrive in October.

His new spiritual direction has been inspired by his Sunday Service, where he takes his gospel choir to different places to sing songs of worship and remixes of some of his tracks.

Here’s hoping Jesus Is King does drop on Sunday because it looks like the fans can’t wait.
