Kanye West opened up about his ‘crying and gut-wrenched’ manic bipolar episode in a new podcast.

The Runaway rapper broke down in tears during his first political rally in South Carolina earlier this year, claiming himself and wife Kim Kardashian wanted to abort their first child North, now seven, in 2012.

He told the audience that for a few months his wife had ‘the pills in her hand’ while deciding whether to abort their daughter.

Kanye recalled the experience to Joe Rogan on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, telling the host: ‘I cry [when I have a manic episode] and I was gut-wrenched at the – I don’t even like to say out loud what I said on South Carolina.

‘The idea of – I’m trying to word it in a way which is safe and covers my family. People saw this clip of me crying and some people didn’t know what I was crying about.

‘I was crying about there was a possible chance, looking at a way there was a chance that we didn’t make, Kim and I didn’t make the family I have today.’

During his infamous rally, Kanye discussed Planned Parenthood as well as his own experiences.

‘My mum saved my life. My Dad wanted to abort me… My mum saved my life, there would have been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy,’ he told the audience.

Overwhelmed with tears, he added: ‘I almost killed my daughter.’

On the podcast, Kanye went on to claim that there is a ‘culture’ where many men feel like they’re ‘too busy’ to have children.

‘I’m Christian so I’m pro-life. When I go into office, I’m not changing laws because I realise we live in an imperfect world,’ he said. ‘What I will be presenting is a plan A.

‘We’ve already started working on plan A to change the connotation of orphanages, to change the connotation of foster care.’

The father-of-four is still gamely continuing his bid to become President, recently urging fans to write his name onto the ballot when they go to vote.

Yeezy’s campaign hasn’t been smooth sailing – he has missed several ballot deadlines in key states after failing to meet the deadline to hand in documents needed to register.

He’s also faced allegations of electoral fraud ahead of the US election next month.
