Juventus 'to pay Barcelona performance-related bonuses' to seal Suarez transfer

Juventus are looking to seal a cut price deal for Luis Suarez by only paying Barcelona performance-related bounses.

The striker has been told he can leave the Nou Camp by new boss Ronald Koeman.

Suarez could be one of the biggest casualties of what is expected to be a mass overhaul at Barcelona.

Juventus are looking to benefit however as Andrea Pirlo looks to shape his squad having taken over this summer.

Gianluca Di Marzio  reports that discussions are ongoing between Serie A champs Juve and Barcelona.

The two clubs have a good relationship but there are disagreements over pay.

It is understood that a small payment could be made to the Spanish giants in the form of a bonus based on how well Suarez performs.

Personal terms have supposedly been agreed between the Italian champions and the Uruguayan.

Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio did little to squash the speculation when he posted on Instagram.

He shared a photo on himself with the caption: “Welcome September! Aspettando @LuisSuarez?!? #Turin”, meaning “waiting for Suarez”.

Ronald Koeman has told the striker he can leave

Suarez has enjoyed a hugely six years at Barcelona following his move from Liverpool in 2014.

He helped the Catalans win the treble in his first season and has since add a host of league titles and domestic cups.

But at 33-years-old his time at the Nou Camp may be up amid a huge reshuffle at the club.

Suarez has scored 198 times in 283 games for the Spanish outfit and has been particularly outspoken about how his potential exit has been dealt with.

He said: “There has been talk of some names that the president suggested, changes that could be made, but nobody has told me that they want to get rid of me.

“If that is what the club wants it would be nice if the director responsible for these decisions spoke directly with me. It’s better than leaking if I’m one of the players they want to leave. We’ll see what happens.
