Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has snubbed interest from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain and made it clear he wants to join Barcelona this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Bosnian playmaker looks increasingly likely to be one of several first-team stars to be offloaded by the Italian champions as they try to deal with the financial implications of the coronavirus crisis.

Pjanic, along with the likes of Alex Sandro and Douglas Costa, has been named as a potential makeweight in Juve’s players-plus-cash offer for United star Paul Pogba.

However, according to Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona have made their own approach for Pjanic and the 30-year-old is only interested in moving to Camp Nou.

Despite the interest from both United and PSG, Pjanic has made it clear that his preference is Barcelona and he will not entertain moving to either Old Trafford or the Parc des Princes while the possibility of joining the Spanish champions exists.

Sport even claim that Pjanic has verbally agreed a four-year contract with Barcelona, who are looking to wrap up the deal as soon as possible.

As had been proposed with the Pogba swap, there will be minimal cash involved and instead Juve want two Barca players in return – but they haven’t decided which ones yet.

Jean-Clair Todibo is certainly one of them, with the young French centre-back shining on loan at Schalke this past season and Barca prepared to cash in while his stock is high.

The other player remains up in the air, with Juventus not sold on taking Arturo Vidal back to Turin while Ivan Rakitic rejected a move to the Old Lady as recently as January.

Pjanic has informed Juve bosses that he has reached an agreement with Barca and wants to move, with the Italian side now in need of a new makeweight if they want to lure Pogba back to Turin without breaking the bank.
