Juventus officials were sent to Anfield on Sunday afternoon, keeping a close eye on Mohamed Salah, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Italian giants are looking to dominate in Europe for years to come and are wary that many of their current squad – Cristiano Ronaldo, 34, included – aren’t getting any younger.

Salah, Eriksen and Son have all been identified as players of intrigue and reports were filed back to Juventus HQ by scouts on a Premier League mission at the weekend, according to Tuttosport.

While Salah got on the scoresheet and Son provided an assist, it was a quiet afternoon for Eriksen as Mauricio Pochettino’s side squandered an early lead.

Harry Kane had put Spurs in front but Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson levelled with a smart finish before Salah nestled home from the spot to claim another three points for Jurgen Klopp’s table toppers.

But Liverpool could soon find their resolve tested for their talisman, with Salah attracting interest from mainland Europe.

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to place his own stamp on the Serie A giants and views Salah as an exciting option in attack.

However, it is Eriksen – out of contract at the end of the season – who is the priority for Juventus and they are likely to try to get him to sign a pre-contract agreement in January.

Salah would cost significantly more to prise away from Liverpool but Son could be viewed as a happy medium.

The South Korea captain has impressed during his time in north London and has become a key player for Pochettino.

However, with Spurs’ form dipping and a place in next season’s Champions League potentially under threat, now could be the time to strike for the Italians.
