JUVENTUS are planning an incredible last-minute bid for Christian Eriken after his switch to PSG did not materialise, according to reports.
The Spurs star, 27, has refused to extend his contract at the club beyond next summer and the Serie A champions will look to bring in Eriksen to replace the out of favour Paulo Dybala.
According to the Express, the Italian giants will try to sign the Dane if PSG sign Dybala from them.
The Tottenham midfielder has registered 49 goals and 60 assists since joining the North London side back in 2013, and so he is considered to have the creativity to replace the outgoing Argentine.
Speaking ahead of the North London derby, Mauricio Pochettino said: “On Saturday we are going to know if Christian is going to be with us or not.
“That is the most important thing. After, [on] Sunday it is the game, there is no real time to do something.
“He’s working hard. That’s my judgement, with my staff. You need to be right. People need to trust.
“If we make the decision that he’s going to play it’s because we believe he can perform in the way that we expect or we need him to perform.”
Going by the Spurs’ coach’s words, the former Ajax playmaker will not be leaving North London this summer if he fails to secure a move soon by Sunday.
If Eriksen features against Arsenal, it will be clear to see the player isn’t leaving Tottenham in this transfer window.
