Ronaldo delivered another sublime performance to rescue Juve in Turin as he scored three times to secure a 3-0 victory over Atletico, who had beaten the Italian champions 2-0 in the first leg in Spain.
But Ronaldo faces punishment from UEFA as he copied Simeone’s ‘cojones’ celebration after the full-time whistle and directed it towards Atletico’s fans.
Simeone defended Ronaldo’s actions after the match, claiming that the 34-year-old was directing his celebrations towards Juve’s supporters.
But Simeone’s celebration in the first leg appears to be a running joke in the Juve dressing room as Costa also copied the Argentine’s controversial gesture while he was celebrating in the stands after Ronaldo scored a penalty to complete his hat-trick.

Costa’s Juve teammates Andrea Barzagli, Juan Cuadrado and Alex Sandro were also seen laughing as the Brazilian appeared to direct the gesture towards Atletico’s bench where Simeone would have been standing.
Costa was forced to watch the game from the stands after suffering an injury in training. Cuadrado also missed the game through injury, while Alex Sandro was suspended.
