Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran release new song ‘I Don’t Care’

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have released a new song, “I Don’t Care”, marking Sheeran’s first new music since his 2017 album Divide.

The two singers had previously collaborated on Bieber’s 2015 hit “Love Yourself”, from his album Purpose released that year.

However, the new track is less of a kiss-off and focuses more on the positive effect of a supportive romantic relationship. It was produced by Max Martin, Shellback and FRED.

Sheeran sings: “‘Cause I don’t care when I’m with my baby, yeah/ All the bad things disappear/ And you’re making me feel I like maybe I am somebody.”

Bieber contributes with backing vocals on the chorus and contributes the verse: “We at a party we don’t wanna be at/ Tryna talk, but we can’t hear ourselves/ Press your lips, I’d rather kiss ’em right back/ With all these people all around.”

Sheeran teased the new track last week on his social media, including a photo where the two appeared in front of a green screen, which he captioned: “10. Photoshop spoon.”

Both singers recently appeared on Lil Dicky’s song “Earth”, with Sheeran as a baboon and Bieber as a koala.

It was announced earlier this week on the Sunday Times Rich List that Sheeran doubled his wealth in 2018, following a massive global tour.
