Jurassic World: Dominion won’t be the end of the franchise.

Films usually come in trilogies (apart from, like, the Fast and Furious movies) but the latest Jurassic World films are just the beginning of a whole new chapter.

Producer Frank Marshall shared that the next film will usher in ‘a new era’.

‘The dinosaurs are now on the mainland amongst us, and they will be for quite some time, I hope,’ he told Collider.

He hinted that the Jurassic World universe going forward will be set in a ‘new normal’ where humans and dinosaurs walk the earth together.

Work on Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming film has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s due for release on 21 June, 2021.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended with the remaining dinosaurs establishing dominance on the land that it now shares with mankind, so it’s safe to say that Dominion might see man taking the power back.

But given Frank’s words about a ‘new normal’, maybe man might not be that successful.

Jurassic World, released in 2015, starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Dominion will see Jurassic Park originals Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum make an appearance.

Chris said of the upcoming movie: ‘The script is unbelievable. I can’t wait.’

‘It’s got pretty much everybody in it.’
