June Brown discusses friendship with Lady Gaga on Loose women: ‘She invited me clubbing'


June Brown appeared on today’s episode of to discuss her 35-year reign on EastEnders.

The iconic actress, who plays Dot Cotton on the soap, detailed her secrets to growing old, and her new programme Hard to Please OAPs.

While on the panel show, the soap star revealed all about her unlikely friendship with A-list singer Lady Gaga.

The 92-year-old went on to reveal the Born This Way hitmaker asked her to go clubbing.

Denise Welch asked the TV personality where the friendship first started.

June replied: “I just met her on The Graham Norton Show.

“I was last to come on, and she was so lovely. So respectful.

“Once I got on, we sort of took over the show. I was wondering if I should’ve sat on Graham’s lap.”

June revealed Lady Gaga wanted to take her out dancing, but couldn’t make it due to other work commitments.

She said: ” Lady Gaga invited me to go to Annabels, unfortunately I was doing Piers Morgan the next day.

“I had to be early in the morning – and I thought to myself ‘I can’t go clubbing.'”

Viewers of the show hailed June’s appearance as ‘hysterical”.
