Jumanji The Next level release date, cast, trailer, plot – all you need to know

Jumanji is a beloved movie starring the late, great Robin Williams. There were many fans who, on hearing the news of a remake, were concerned the new Jumanji could ruin the memory of the first. However, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Jumanji wowed fans, so much that a second is about to come to cinemas.

When is Jumanji: The Next Level released in cinemas?

In the UK, Jumanji: The Next Level is out in cinemas on December 13.

Many countries across the world will have the chance to see the movie slightly earlier than the UK, with it arriving in places such as France and Finland on December 4.

Jumanji will be released in further countries over the weekend of December 6, until it arrives in the UK on December 13, as well as in the USA on the same day.

Who is in the cast of Jumanji: The Next Level?

Fans will be glad to know that the cast of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle are back in full force.

The youngsters will be played by Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner and Ser’Darius Blain, as in the first of the rebooted franchise.

Then, their gaming characters are back, with Kevin Hart and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson back as Mouse Finbar and Dr Smolder Bravestone.

Karen Gillan is Ruby Roundhouse, once again, while Jack Black is Professor Shelly Oberon, and Nick Jonas is Seaplane McDonough.

Along with them Colin Hanks is back as Alex, while Rhys Darby plays Nigel Billingsley, the gang’s guide inside the game.

However, there are certainly some mix ups this time around compared to the last instalment, when Spencer’s grandfather Eddie, played by Danny DeVito, and his friend Milo, played by Danny Glover, find themselves sucked into the game as well.

Along with these new faces, Awkwafina joins the cast as Ming, as well as Ashley Scott, Dania Ramirez, Rory McCann and Massi Furlan.

As well as these characters, a legend will return, with Bebe Neuwirth joining the cast having played Nora Shepherd in the original Jumanji film.

Is there a trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level?

There are multiple trailers for Jumanji: The Next Level, with some available to be viewed on Expressonline.

In one of the trailers, fans are shown the effects of the game when Danny DeVito’s Eddie and Danny Glover’s Milo are sucked into it, and end up inside the bodies of Gravestone and Finbar.

However, there also looks like there will be a great deal of switching bodies, with Jack Black’s Shelly Oberon taking on the persona of both Fridge and Bethany at different points in the game.
