Julia Sawalha has lashed out at sister Nadia of ‘destroying their family’ in a scathing attack.
The Absolutely Fabulous star, 50, slammed her sister, 54, for using “fake tears” to “gain sympathy and attention” on Monday’s Loose Women.
During a special segment looking back on her life, Nadia said she had a “really volatile relationship” with her younger sister and they went through lengthy periods where they did not speak.
Emotional Nadia looked close to tears as she opened up their “intense on and off relationship” to her fellow Loose Women panellists.
However, Julia has accused her sister of “talking lies and rubbish” while creating a sibling rivalry.

In a furious rant, Julia tweeted: “So tired of #nadiasawalha talking about our ‘stormy’ relationship which she created. I’ve kept my privacy for 6 years to protect my family, whilst she talks lies & rubbish.
“You have destroyed our family so don’t sit on TV with your fake tears to gain sympathy & attention.”
Julia added: “Yes well it’s very difficult when you only see the story from one side. I’m not actually fighting, she is, but paints a very different picture publicly and I’ve had enough”

The actress, who played Saffron Monsoon in sitcom Ab Fab, then gave a closer insight into their relationship by responding to tweets from her followers.
When one admitted it was hard to know what to do in this situation, Julia replied: “Exactly and I have allowed someone else to carry the narrative for 6 years… my pressure cooker blew today, I’m only human. Much love to you for your understanding x”
Another followers applauded Julia for her bravery, to which she responded: “Thank you, it took a lot of deliberating and my dear boyfriend putting up with my sadness for too too long. Thank you for saying that, it means so so much to me.x”

Someone else then suggested that Julia should offer her unconditional love until her sister comes round.
Revealing that didn’t work, Julia said: “Tried that, made it even worse, but thank you”
Nadia got very emotional during Monday’s Loose Women and appeared to choke up when talking about her sister.
The Loose Women panellist said: “She is totally amazing. She’s really amazing my younger sister but we’ve always had a really volatile relationship.
“So we’ve always had periods of time in our life where we don’t speak. I always say I have the best time or the worst time of my life with her. It’s the same with both my sisters.
“My dad always says ‘formidable women’. That’s all he wanted. He came to this country with £50 in his pocket because he wanted six daughters who were free.
“His sister was married at 14. He said ‘I want strong, independent, professional women that follow their dreams.
“What he got was free very independent, difficult women. Because of that we have a very intense on and off relationship.”
