Judi Dench husband: Why British legend will NEVER marry again ‘Pull yourself together’

Dame Judi Dench is set to star in the highly-anticipated Cats movie this year. Away from the big screen, Judi has been married once before – but has since vowed to never get married again.

Judi sadly lost her husband of 30 years, Michael Williams, to lung cancer in 2001.

Michael and Judi had appeared together in the 1980s sitcom, A Fine Romance, and Michael would send her a red rose every Friday.

Judi and Michael welcomed one daughter together called Finty, who is also an actress.

Now Judi has been in a relationship with David Mills, who is a conservationist, since 2010.

The couple have a lot of fun together, with Judi telling the magazine: “I have a jolly nice friend now.

“One hot night during the summer, we swam and then had a glass of champagne in the garden and I said, ‘This is so fantastic’.

“But perhaps if I was a romantic I’d have been cool and calm about it. I get a bit over-excited about things.

“I love having a good laugh. A sense of humour is the most attractive thing of all. It’s essential.”

Judi’s acting career has spanned decades, with some of her most memorable roles including ‘M’ in the James Bond series and Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love.

But in her latest acting role, Judi will be playing respected cat leader Old Deuteronomy when the musical Cats takes to the big screen.

Her appearance in the film has been widely anticipated, with the actress reportedly taking on personal cat training for the role!

Judi Dench will be appearing on The Graham Norton Show at 10.55pm on Friday, December 13 on BBC One.
