Jose Mourinho will get a "very good reception” from Man Utd fans on Old Trafford return

Jose Mourinho will get a warm reception from Manchester United fans on his return to the club on Wednesday night, according to his successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Mourinho was sacked a year ago, after two-and-a-half years at United, with the club in seventh place and with his relationship with the players at rock-bottom.

But Mourinho, who returns to Old Trafford with new club Tottenham , won the League Cup and Europa League with United, as well as guiding the Reds to second spot in his second season.

Despite it all unravelling at United in his third season, ending with his sacking on December 18, Solskjaer claimed Mourinho will get a warm welcome from fans at the Theatre of Dreams.
