Jonas Brothers mock Diplo for live streaming Joe’s wedding in new music video

The Jonas Brothers get their own back on Diplo in their latest music video after the DJ live streamed Joe Jonas’ secret wedding on Instagram.

The sibling trio have teamed up with the star (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz) for new track Lonely, which was released last night.

Their collaboration comes after the EDM musician broadcast Joe’s private Vegas wedding to Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner to over five million Instagram followers, after the Billboard Music Awards in May.

The stars poke fun at the incident in the video for Lonely, which sees Diplo bombarding Joe, 30, with texts to beg for forgiveness.

“Hey Joe, Sorry for live streaming the most important day of your life that u intended to keep private,” he writes in the clip. “Hope we can move past this.”

When Joe fails to respond, he sends the singer a bouquet made of fruit before attempting to reach out to Nick, 27, and Kevin, 31.

As the video comes to an end, the brothers decide it’s finally time to reconnect with Diplo and prepare to FaceTime the DJ – whose phone battery promptly runs out as soon as he receives the call.

Discussing the wedding in an interview with Capital’s Roman Kemp, Joe joked: “I love Diplo, but he loves his ‘gram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally, like, live-streamed with dog face filters.

“We just laughed, we loved it. We thought it was ridiculous.”

Sharing his side of the story in a subsequent chat with US TV host Ryan Seacrest, Diplo admitted that he didn’t think the ceremony was a “serious wedding.”

“I really didn’t know what was going on,” he told Seacrest. “I was hanging out with him after the Billboard Awards. I said, ‘This is crazy, let me record it.’

“And there was mad people with cameras. I didn’t know I was the only person recording this. I was sitting next to Khalid and we were both with our phones out. I had no idea that I was the only one doing it.”
