Johnny Galecki hints he’ll return to ‘The Conners’ for ‘one or two more stories’

From Leonard Hofstadter back to David Healy. Johnny Galecki might be reprising his role for “The Conners” once more.

On Sunday, the “Big Bang Theory” alum shared with his more than 3 million Instagram followers that he may not be done with David just yet.

“I may be putting the (literal/figurative) pants of #davidhealy back on for one or two more stories on @theconnersabc this year,” he captioned a photo with co-stars Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert helping him put on pants. “Twenty some years later I’m still in awe of this freak(expletive) carnie group who adopted me early on and still learn so very much from them whenever in their presence.”

Greg Khach, with ABC, confirmed Galecki’s “involvement on ‘The Conners’ this season” to USA TODAY.

Galecki first appeared on “Roseanne” in 1992. He returned for an April 2018 episode of the reboot, reprising the role of Darlene’s ex-husband with whom she has two kids. He also appeared on “The Conners.”

“Big Bang” bid farewell in May, freeing up Galecki’s schedule. In an interview with Parade.com published in March, the actor addressed a return to “The Conners.”

“There’s no plan, but there’s a personal hope on my part,” he said. “That’s kind of my second home with those folks, and I still have a bit of a high school crush on that character, so I sure hope so.

“It was creepy how quickly David reemerged. Most of it was putting the boots back on, but it was downright creepy. These characters reside in you.”
