John Henry's wife Linda Pizzuti gives Liverpool fans glimpse of new training ground

The wife of Liverpool owner John Henry has given Reds fans a glimpse of ongoing developments at the club’s new training ground.

Liverpool are building the £50million complex in Kirkby, ahead of the move from their current Melwood campus in the summer.

And Linda Pizzuti, who is married to the Fenway Sports Group chief, offered an insight into the works via her Instagram account.

“We are a few months away from completing the new training grounds here in Liverpool and they are extraordinary,” Pizzuti said in a posted video. “I’ll show you inside.”

She then gave viewers a brief tour showing one of the on-site state-of-the-art gyms, as well as the first-team and academy training pitches.

Covering 9,200 square metres, the training base will contain two gyms, a sports hall, pool, hydrotherapy complex and specialist sports rehabilitation suites.

The facility is also set to include TV studios, press conference areas and offices.
