John Barrowman was rushed to hospital with a severe neck injury, with the star being forced to cancel his Fabulous Christmas show.
The I’m A Celebrity star broke the news to fans on Instagram, writing: ‘I’m devastated to have to tell you that due to a severe neck injury, which has made it impossible for me to sing & move, I’ve been rushed to hospital for a diagnosis.
‘The Doctors have advised me to not perform this weekend while I try and recover, so I’ve had to make the very difficult decision to cancel my performances at the Bristol Hippodrome on Saturday 30th November and at the SEC Armadillo, Glasgow, on Sunday 1st December.
‘I am so disappointed and upset as I was looking forward to seeing you all, I feel I am letting everyone down, but it’s simply not possible for me to do the show in my current condition.
‘We have thankfully managed to open the Oxford New Theatre concert (Sat 14th December) for Bristol audience members to transfer to, and we have managed to move the Glasgow date to Tues 3rd December so I really hope you will be able to still see me have A Fabulous Christmas. All my love, John x’.
The fab-u-lous star later shared a snap with his husband Scott Gill, giving the camera a thumbs up.
‘Heading to hospital for an MRI scan on my neck!’ John said. ‘I’ll Keep you all posted on my progress – Bless you all and thanks for all your good wishes.. JB.’
Despite the cheery photo, fans have expressed their worry for the actor, with one telling him: ‘Oh no all the best wishes sweetheart,’ and another adding: ‘Hope you’re ok!’
The news comes after John jetted off to Australia to weigh in on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here after placing third in the show last year.
He wasn’t afraid to throw some shade at Adele Roberts over ‘Jane Gate’ after she clashed with Roman Kemp.
John said: ‘She has been caught out a little bit because she used the word prejudice, and he was just a young man asking a question.
‘If you brought a picture of Jane McDonald on you should probably know the songs she sang.
‘She probably brought it on to get a vote from a certain community and it’s all backfired on her a little bit, I think you are seeing her true colours right now.’
