Joe Wicks has revealed that he will be returning to his PE session next week after undergoing surgery for his wrist.

The 33-year-old had been admitted to Kingston Hospital in London over a painful hand injury, having an operation to repair it after falling off a bike.

Joe had revealed earlier today that his surgery has been successful, and despite his injury, he has insisted he will continue with his PE sessions next Monday.

Taking to his Instagram story, Joe had shared a series of clips updating fans with how his surgery went, and on one, he had captioned it: ‘See you Monday for PE with Joe.’

He also explained that his wife, Rosie, will be helping him for the upcoming session, as he might not be able to showcase many exercises due to his injury, but he ‘doesn’t want to let anyone down’.

‘I’ve just asked my lovely wife Rosie to help me with #pewithjoe on Monday morning and she’s kindly agreed,’ he said, as he posted a picture of Rosie with their son, Marley, to his story.

‘It’s well out of her comfort zone but she’s my best friend and she knows how much this means to me.

‘I don’t want to let anyone down but I don’t think I’m going to be able to demo many exercises so I’ll be having Rosie on camera with me.

‘I’ll still lead the session and coach you through it. I’ll just have Rosie demonstrating the moves.’

Earlier, the Body Coach star had revealed that medics at the hospital decided not to remove the wires that had been inserted into his hand in order to help his injury heal.

‘Surgery complete. Wires all out,’ he wrote. ‘Infection cleaned up.

‘They gave me a general anaesthetic which was awesome so didn’t feel a thing and was sparko.

‘Thank you @kingstonhospitaluk.’

Joe had previously been keeping fans updated on social media while he stayed in hospital overnight, as he later gave his thanks to NHS workers for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I’m just having a bit of a moment, where I’m feeling super grateful for this healthcare system we’ve got, and these people that are coming in,’ he said.

‘There’s people from all different nationalities, coming in here, taking care of me, nurturing me.

‘Lots of love to anyone out there that’s NHS staff in any hospital, anywhere in the country.’
