Joe Weller has admitted he wants KSI to lose against Logan Paul in their boxing rematch so he can ‘see what it’s like’.
Ouch.
The YouTube star lost against KSI – real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji – in their fight in early 2018 and recently filmed an unexpectedly wholesome message to whoever loses.
In the honest video, he explained how losing the fight against JJ affected him.
‘You work so hard aiming [for] only one outcome, you don’t consider losing,’ the 23-year-old explained.
‘On the night I essentially froze. It wasn’t like it was a close fight and he edged it or whatever. I just didn’t turn up, I was his punching bag.
‘To lose in that manner…that’s what hurts most, and that’s what I’m going to say to you boys [Logan and JJ].
‘Even if you lose this fight, make sure you absolutely give it everything you can because that’ll be the thing you regret.’
He went on to say that people still ‘rub it in’ and he’s ‘constantly’ reminded of the loss, causing him to second-guess many of his videos.
Although he acknowledged he wants ‘the best man to win,’ Joe went on to say: ‘If a person, to you, had caused humiliation, people to abuse you in this manner – naturally, there’s an element of “I want you to feel this. I want you to see what it’s like to go through this as the person that’s made it happen to me.”‘
He added: ‘I would love [JJ] to experience and go through what he’s made me go through.
‘If he wins on the night and thoroughly deserves it, I will be there also applauding…but there is always gonna be that little element.’
Joe and JJ’s fight lasted three rounds, with Joe saying afterwards: ‘Obviously I’m gutted.
‘I thought we did everything we could do to defeat JJ, but he prevailed. Those blows, they stun you. 100% respect, he put in the work, and that power is lethal.’
He’s since weighed in on the recent London press conference, which saw KSI and Logan squaring up to each other
‘To be fair as much of an absolute weirdo Logan was I do feel like he took the W on that – JJ seemed triggered throughout and just repeated old jokes and as cringe as it was, Logan’s confidence ran the show,’ he tweeted.
‘Overall much better than the LA presser.’
