Joe Swash, 38, is set to turn 39 in January and has revealed he sometimes feels as though he is living in the shadow of his father, who died at the age he is now. The TV presenter’s dad worked as a London taxi driver and was immensely popular amongst his colleagues, caused mayhem at the funeral.
So many arrived to pay their respects, that police had to close down roads in the area.
Joe revealed on Dave Berry’s Dadpod: “When my dad died, he had so many friends – he was a London taxi driver – that the police had to close the roads ’cause there were so many cars going to the funeral
“They all come up to me, all the cab drivers, and said to me, ‘Your dad was one in a million.’
“So, I live under this shadow of this amazing man that I didn’t really know very well,” he added.

The actor and presenter has a son from a previous relationship and last year welcomed a son with long-term girlfriend Stacey Solomon.
The latter also has two sons from previous relationships, and Joe revealed he loves them as if they were his own.
He continued: “I try to live up to what he done for me in them 11 years, with my boys and with Stacey’s boys as well.
“Like, they’re my kids as well. I love them to pieces.
“And I’m very lucky because, hopefully, touch wood, in 30, 20 years’ time, I’ll have these five amazing young men who idolise me and that I’ll have forever to be my pals, you know what I mean? We’ll have a bond.”
Joe also revealed that he has been making up for lost time with his 13-year-old son Harry, who he shares with ex Emma Sophocleaous.
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! champion said that the pair have now become close once more after spending a lot more time together recently.
Reflecting on fatherhood with his eldest son, Joe said: “With my first child, Harry, there was a period where mine and Harry’s mum’s relationship affected my relationship with him.

“I didn’t get to see him for a period of time, so I missed out on quite a lot.
“Now, me and my son Hal, we spent all the time together,” he added.
The TV presenter says his eldest son is now like his “shadow”, as he detailed their renewed bond.
Joe continued: “He’s, like, my shadow. I love him, but there was a period where I just couldn’t see this happening in the future.
