Joe Biden 'sends ambassador to Blue Lagoon chippy' to 'collect fish supper'

Visiting the Blue Lagoon after a night out in Glasgow is an absolute must and it’s been claimed that US President Joe Biden fancied some chippy chips for his lunch today whilst visiting Glasgow.

President Biden is currently in Scotland for the COP26 event and although he is staying in Edinburgh, he has travelled through from the capital to attend the conference.

And according to Blue Lagoon bosses, an American ambassador visited the Queen Street branch to pick up some deep-fried deliousness for Mr Biden.

Director of the Blue Lagoon, Gianluca Varese said: “Today at 12pm we were visited by an American ambassador at our 151 Queen street branch who claimed to be collecting a fish supper for president Biden!!”

Staff member Patricia Bentley posed outside the store with the mystery ambassador.

But there’s so many questions, what did the President of the United States opt for?

Did he take salt and vinegar? Sauce? Did he wash down his meal with a can of Irn Bru?

The US President arrived in Glasgow to huge fanfare on Monday morning as world leaders gathered for the climate change conference.

However, it appeared that the politician struggled to keep his eyes open while listening to the opening speeches as COP26 kicked off at Glasgow’s SEC.

The 78-year-old seemed tired as Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley delivered an important speech on tackling climate change.

Washington Post journalist Zach Pursur Brown recorded the president “falling asleep”.

Piers Morgan was quick to comment on the president’s tiredness as he retweeted the video and wrote: “Jeez… not the best look when you’re trying to tell the word to wake up.”

Another person wrote: “The camera had to shift off Joe Biden pretty quick, as he closed eyes for a few moments too long.

“Poor bloke. I hope he’s got a lift home.”
