Just like Villanelle, her character in hit show Killing Eve, Jodie Comer showed her love for Paris and fashion while attending Miu Miu’s autumn/winter 2019 show at the Palais d’Iéna on March 5. Dressed in a black velvet bomber jacket, paired with cropped tailored trousers and crystal-embellished slingbacks, the actor sat front row alongside Elle Fanning and Alexa Chung.
Taking to Instagram, Comer shared a snap of her ensemble and applauded the women she’d shared the experience with: “Thank you to the lovely team at Miu Miu for having me in Paris this weekend. Lots of wonderful experiences with equally wonderful women! AND men… big up.”
In the first season of Killing Eve, Comer’s character Villanelle dressed up in some of the best outfits to have graced the small screen in years. In one scene, she wears a shocking pink Molly Goddard dress with Balenciaga boots. “What it said in the script is she’s wearing a big poufy dress. I think Phoebe Waller-Bridge [the show’s creator], had, perhaps, something more classic in mind,” the TV show’s costume designer, Phoebe de Gaye told Vogue of the look. “I thought Molly Goddard’s stuff was just perfect for it because it has that subversive streak.”
The second season of Killing Eve is due to air later this year. In the meantime, here’s hoping Comer takes more turns in the spotlight.
