Jodi Anasta (née Gordon) has reflected on playing Elly Conway on Neighbours for nearly four years by sharing some of her favourite memories.

The 34-year-old posted a gallery of nine photos to Instagram on Wednesday, while thanking the cast and crew for an ‘incredible’ journey.

The actress also revealed she was excited to be moving back to Sydney to be closer to her five-year-old daughter, Aleeia.

The gallery included snaps with her co-stars and behind-the-scenes photos from the Neighbours float at the 2019 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.

‘Farewell my Neighbours Family!’ she wrote in the caption.

‘It’s been an incredible four years with you guys, everyone from crew to production, cleaners to chefs to cast… you make this show what it is and I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of it for so long!’

She added: ‘I remember a few years after I finished Home and Away I had a strong desire to be part of a show like that again, you gave me this opportunity with Neighbours.

‘Now it’s time for me to move on to the next adventure. More importantly in the interim it’s time for me to move back to Sydney to be with my beautiful daughter.’

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, Jodi said she was feeling ‘better than ever’ following her decision to quit the long-running soap.

She added that ‘it’ll be a huge change’ for her after after commuting between Sydney and Melbourne for nearly four years.

‘I’ll get to do more school drop offs, all that kind of stuff, and just get back into auditioning again,’ she said.

Jodi took a three-week hiatus from filming due to ‘exhaustion’ in June last year, which her manager blamed on her interstate commute.

Jodi had previously spoken about how difficult it was being away from Aleeia – whom she shares with her ex-husband, Braith Anasta – due to her filming commitments.

‘It’s always very difficult being away from Aleeia, but the way I see it is that I get a lot more holidays than most parents,’ she told The Sunday Telegraph in December.

‘There are lots of production breaks which is a luxury I know a lot of parents don’t have.’
