Jo Whiley is taking on three triathlons in three days, but she’s showing no signs of nerves just yet.

The radio presenter, 54, has signed up for the mammoth challenge for Sport Relief 2020 and will take on three triathlons – that’s running, swimming and cycling – in three different cities in just three days.

It’s enough to make anyone feel exhausted just thinking about it, let alone taking part, but Jo looked as if she was ready and raring to go.

She posed proudly in her wetsuit in the leadup to the Dare 2 Tri challenge, where she’ll be joined by Gogglebox star Reverend Kate Bottley and BBC presenter Richie Anderson.

The team will have to tackle open water swims, punishing cycling routes and long runs all in one go and Jo has been busy putting herself through her paces in preparation.

She’s been documenting her training on Instagram and a few weeks back, she jumped into the water with swans to brush up on her swimming technique.

Posing for a quick snap post-swim, Jo told fans: ‘It’s been a funny old week. Wednesday was swimming with swans day. Water temp 4.5 degrees.

‘Never loved my dry robe more. Sparing you the picture of me in a neoprene swim hat with chin strap but will sell to highest bidder for charity.’

Eek. Good luck!

Sport Relief returns on 13 March and will also see the likes of Judge Rinder, Frankie Bridge and Nick Grimshaw take on the gruelling challenge of climbing some of the world’s largest sand dunes while trekking the Namib Desert.

Nick was forced to pull out of the group’s 35-mile cycle challenge after suffering from heat exhaustion. He was pulled out following the medic’s advice and told to rest, before rejoining the challenge.

Sport Relief returns to BBC on Friday 13 March.
