Jim Edmonds reveals he tested positive for COVID-19

Jim Edmonds has tested positive for COVID-19.

Edmonds, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share his test results, after several days of waiting for them.

‘I did test positive for pneumonia, and I did get a test back positive for the virus. I am completely symptom-free now and doing really well, and so I must have had it for a while before I got tested,’ he said.

The former baseball player said his daughter has been tested and is now awaiting results, but she is symptom-free as well.

Edmonds also urged other people feeling unwell to seek health care.

‘In all fairness, doing really good, and I’m happy to be symptom-free, and feeling great. So, all of you people thank you so much once again, and hope all you are doing well. Do not take this lightly – if you don’t feel good, go to the doctor or go to the emergency room if you can’t breathe, because that’s what happened to me, they didn’t want to test me, and I forced them to take me into the emergency room.

‘And lo and behold, pneumonia, and the virus. So don’t take it lightly, take care of yourselves. There’s no medicine, there’s no nothing but rest, and that’s all I’ve been doing.’

‘Let me tell you something, some days I’m barely hanging on by a thread,’ she wrote. ‘Some moments I can’t breathe. Sometimes I get in bed and the bed is vibrating, but it’s not: I’m just shaking.’

She added of her split with Jim: ‘You guys, many, many days I cannot possibly bear the thought of knowing I will have to be separated from my children due to divorce.’
