Jet2 flights and holidays: New Greece routes announced from UK for summer 2021


Jet2 flights and holidays have received a further boost today as the airline and holiday company continues to expand its routes. Greece holidays for those near Newcastle and East Midlands Airports are set to improve further next summer. Four new routes have been announced.

These are: Corfu, Chania (Crete), Kefalonia, Halkidiki, Heraklion (Crete), Kos, Kalamata, Lesvos, Mykonos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Santorini and Zante.

Today’s announcement represents almost 30,000 additional seats on sale to Greece.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Demand from customers and independent travel agents in both regions is telling us that flights and holidays to Greece are very much in demand for Summer 21.

“As ever, we are responding quickly to that demand to give customers even more choice from Newcastle and East Midlands Airports. Kefalonia, Skiathos and Santorini are magical destinations, and we know their appeal, coupled with our award-winning customer experience, will make them extremely popular from Newcastle and East Midlands Airports.”

The new routes announced today are as follows:

Newcastle Airport

Kefalonia – weekly Friday services operating from July 23 through to October 8.

Skiathos – weekly Friday services operating from May 21 through to October 8.

Santorini – weekly Monday services operating from July 26 through to November 1.

East Midlands Airport

Skiathos – weekly Sunday services operating from May 23 through to October 10.

A fleet of three based aircraft will fly customers to a wide choice of destinations across Mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Madeira.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will wave off its first flights from Bristol Airport on April 1, with its inaugural flight departing to Lanzarote.

Unfortunately, for those hoping to snap up bargains in this year’s Black Friday, Jet2 has confirmed to Express.co.uk that the airline will not be partaking in the 2020 sale.

The big day takes place on November 27.

Other airlines are yet to reveal their Black Friday deals.
