Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes split after self-isolating in separate homes

Jesy Nelson and Chris Hughes are reported to have split up after 16 months of dating.

The couple called it quits while self-isolating in their separate homes amid the coronavirus lockdown, it’s claimed.

“Jesy and Chris split up a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable and they’re still really good friends,” an insider told the Sun.

“They had a chat on the phone about their relationship and both agreed that it felt like it had run its course – they’re both absolutely fine.”

Neither Chris or Little Mix star Jesy have commented on the rumours on social media.

The couple got together in January 2018 and had spoken about getting married one day.

The rumoured break-up comes after Little Mix released latest single, Break Up Song.

Speaking on Roman Kemp’s Capital Breakfast Show, the star revealed she’d been playing it non-stop while she stayed at home amid the health crisis.

Roman asked: “So Jesy this song [Break Up Song], have you just been blasting it out since being in isolation?

Jesy replied: “Absolutely, I think my neighbours are getting really annoyed with me now because I’ve got it on really loud and I can hear them next door thinking ‘shut up’.”

The pair had been keeping to government rules about quarantine in a bid to curb the spread of the deadly bug, as couples who live apart have been advised to either move in together or keep their distance.

The song, which would have been written before the breakup, features the lyrics: “Cause I’ll be good all by myself/Yeah, I’ll find a way to dance without you.”
